New Jersey hit record $931M in wagers in November

New Jersey gamblers wagered $931 million on sports in November, setting a record for the largest single-month legal sports betting handle by a state, according to PlayNJ.

The haul surpassed the previous record of $803 million set in October.

Those bets generated $6.2 million in state taxes on $50.6 million in revenue.

“The restart of the U.S. sports world after the shutdowns of spring and early summer has fueled online sports betting in ways that would have been hard to predict before this year,” said lead analyst Dustin Gouker.
